Here's How I Make My Protein Waffles
In case you didn't know - It's #BULKINGSEASON! To get that extra protein in, Protein Waffles are one of my favourite things to make for breakfast. They're super easy to prepare, taste great, and they're a great source of protein to start off your day right!
Here's how I make my Protein Waffles!
What You'll Need:
- 1⅓ cup all-purpose flour (can sub in gluten-free flour)
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1 scoop protein powder of your choice
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup coconut oil
- 1¼ cup almond milk
- Waffle Maker
I love making protein waffles because it's a change from Oatmeal, which is what I eat every morning, yet it's super easy to make! What you're going to do first is grab a bowl. Combine 1⅓ cup of the all-purpose flour, 4 tsp of the baking powder, & 1 scoop of the protein powder in the bowl you grabbed. Stir all of that together until mixed well. Add in the 2 eggs & stir. Add in ½ cup of coconut oil & 1¼ cup almond milk. Stir until clumps dissolve & batter is formed. The batter should be thick but a bit liquidy.
Pre-heat your waffle maker, you turn it to more than medium heat. I normally have my Waffle maker on number 7 or 8. Once your waffle maker is ready, pour some of the batter into the waffle maker. Make sure you're watching your waffle, to get to desired look.Once your waffle looks cooked, set aside to cool off for a few minutes & then, you're ready to eat! Super easy & super tasty! Enjoy the gainz!
