The need for wearing heavier layers is becoming less of a requirement as the weather gets warmer & nicer each day. Although we’re not exactly at shorts weather yet, these are the days where we leave with our winter coat in the morning, but come back with it around our arm. And though most of us are still in a lockdown & none of us are really going OUT out, it may be time to reassess your current situation - all you wear are SWEATS bro…

DENIM JEANS are a timeless, staple piece. One we all probably own in our closet. Through the many years of styling our Fits with denim, we probably all own the ever so popular skinny jean. But as style evolves & quarantine life took over, a more comfier Fit now hold rank & the crowd is now favouring baggy or a wider legged denim jean. Slim Fit works too, so have no fear if you’re not a fan of the baggier denim trend. As for the tighter, skinny fit denim jeans - those are no longer. And honestly - for good reason!

*TIP: Right now you’ll notice a lot of trend where the pants cover the shoes, or hide the top of hightop sneakers. This was more popular in the early 2000’s, so it’s making a comeback. It’s a very relaxed style, all throughout the leg & generally pretty comfy. You’ll notice these pants come with a lot of pockets & have a pretty giveaway look to them, which is their signature stitching on the front, side & sometimes back of the leg too.

CORDUROY’S are a great pant to wear for Spring, if you’re looking to take a break from your everyday denim or cargos! I personally love corduroys because they honestly remind me of sweatpants! They’re SO CHILL to wear + style, yet they LOOK presentable! I do think these style best with Converse, but again, that’s just how I like to style them.

STRAIGHT PANTS are basically a regular fit Chino. They’re not as slim fitting through the leg, as they have a wider frame and therefore seems really chill to wear. These work great for events, or a time where you need to dress up, or just don’t feel like wearing the everyday denim or cargo.

And of course - CARGOS! If you follow me on Instagram (@mattredwards), you’ve probably noticed that these are my favorite pants to wear! I LOVE styling them because they can be so easy to wear & go with pretty much everything! PLUS, they have have such versatility to them, with wearing the end of the pants loose, or synched (some cargos come with a string for you to do this). This can completely change up a look! Styling Jordan 1’s with cargos is mad popular rn & fun to do if you have a colourful Jacket, or a fun graphic tee. The come with tons of pockets, so they’re apart of that utility family as well. Cargos have moved from trendy, to essential, so you can definitely find them anywhere & find a pair that fits your style the best!
