Spring is HERE - Aaaaand we’re all stuck inside…

Ok, I know none of us has planned for Spring to be all sweatpants, afternoon snacks, Zoom chats & quarantined inside our home. But, for right now, that’s what is has to be. With everything closed & no one allowed to leave their homes except for essential items, no one’s really out, experiencing Spring. Which of course, is a major bummer.

Although we’re not going out, I still wanted to bring some style inspo to your screens & share what we could be wearing this Spring! I love transitioning from heavy winter coats & colder winter colours, to brighter spring styles & lightweight spring jackets! Being able to layer different styles is something I really look forward to when the new szn arrives.
I didn’t want a virus to stop me from sharing that inspo with you guys! And that shouldn’t stop you from still enjoying the warmer season too!

I hope you guys enjoy my 2020 Spring Lookbook & after the video, check out some similar items I linked for you guys to shop!

Here’s some Spring options, inspired by my Lookbook!

Jackets

JACKETS are probably my number must when it comes to dressing for Spring. One of the best thing about Spring is you no longer need to wear your heavy Winter jacket. Instead, transition into the new szn by layering with a nice, lightweight JACKET. Some of my go-to JACKETS to rock in the Spring are a Denim, Leather or a Harrington style Jacket.

Hoodies + Crewnecks

Though Spring is warm, it’s not always T-shirt weather. That’s why I love layering with a nice CREWNECK or a HOODIE. Both style GREAT with most jackets, & add a great “on the go” look, when you’re running errands, or even walking through the city. A classic layering look is a denim jacket + a HOODIE. Try styling that this Spring if you’ve never worn that before!

Pants

When I was younger, I never saw the need for multiple styles of PANTS. But now that i’m older, I definitely see the need for different styles of PANTS, for different occasions. As well as to style different pieces or options. A popular / Spring must-have is a pair of Cargo Pants. If you own a pair, you’ll definitely get a good use out of them. For a more dressing up PANT, or for a more semi-casual look, I actually love styling Painter Pants, specifically in this cream colour I’ve showed here. This can be dressed up, or down, & makes your fits look VERY put together 👌🏾

Layering Items

In my opinion, Spring is similar to Fall, in the sense of both seasons introduce LAYERING. For both, there’s no need to wear a heavy duty jacket to cover up your outfit, but you also can’t just wear shorts & a t-shirt just yet. You get the chance to really style yourself & pair great pieces together to make a really dope fit. For Spring, try pairing a Turtleneck with a Button-up Shirt to help diversify you layering scheme. Even pairing that with a pair of Cargos & some Jordan 1’s
will look really fly!

Sneakers

One thing I get excited for EVERY Spring, is the new SNEAKERS I now get to wear. A popular colour to own for Spring is white. So getting a fresh pair of Nike Air Force 1’s is a great option to rock. One trend that everyone’s wearing right now or a pair of high top Converse. What looks really dope for Spring is rolling up the bottom of your pants, to show off the high top part of the SNEAKER. This is an easy fit change to incorporate, that will really update your style!

And there you have it! I know we’re all stuck inside, exercising social / physical distancing, but I still wanted to share some Spring content for you guys, to inspire you & help get you through this time. Although we’re inside, we can still get excited for Spring & even buss a Spring inspired look here & there when we go outside for some air!
