IDK about you, but I’ve had enough of pants, it’s time to mix it up!

Summer is on the horizon! As the days get longer & the weather gets warmer, the transition from pants to shorts becomes ideal for everyone’s wardrobe. For me, personally, once the weather gets warm enough to rock shorts, the legs are out & the various styles of shorts are being worn! But with this quarantine still in effect for most provinces & countries, what type of shorts to wear this summer is kind of up in the air for all of us.

I’m still optamistic we’ll have a summer & I want to inspire you guys to look your best this szn once this quarantine is somewhat lifted. I wanted to share the different types of shorts you can rock, that either fit your style, or never knew you could pull off before. From Denim, to the classic Chinos to even the popular Utility trend.

There was a time, not long ago, CARGOS were a no-go. I feel like they were known as the “Dad Style” shorts, that Dad's famously wore at B BQ’S. But as that “Dad Style” became pretty trendy, CARGOS made a comeback & really style well with tons of items you proably already own. The pocket use makes them really practical, and almost Utility like. Pairing with a solid coloured tee is a great choice & even styling them with any popular Dad Shoe makes for a great combination.

CHINOS are a great, essential Short that you’ll definitely need throughout your Summer. Though some would say this is such a basic pair of shorts, I’d say this is an essential short to rock, for those more formal looks, or just dressing less casual. These pair great with a short sleeve button-up, which you guys know is my go-to shirt to rock in the Summer. This gives you a more put together look, and makes your fit super clean.

DENIM is a great short to have, especially for those more casual, or streetwear days. I love rocking DENIM SHORTS with some really dope sneakers on feet, a graphic tee & probably a Sling Bag. This makes for a more casual look, as well as helps with adding layering to your style. You’ll definitely get a lot of wear out of a good pair of DENIM SHORTS.

On the move? NYLON SHORTS are a great choice to add to your rotation this summer! They’re super lightweight & give you flexibility. These are a great, casual short to wear either running some quick errands, hanging out with close friends, or even lounging in at home. A lot of stores make great options in this trendy material.

RUNNING is something i’ve done a lot more since this Quarantine started. And honestly, buying new workout gear, always motivates me to workout more. As the days get longer & the weather gets warmer, buying some new RUNNING SHORTS would be a great investment!

Looking to add a new pattern in your life? Why not go with a pair of STRIPED SHORTS! STRIPED SHORTS work great when wanting to add a lil more to your fit! I love seeing this paired with just a solid colour Polo or Crewneck for those colder summer nights. They’re great for most occasions & can be dressed casual or formal. Try a pair of these out & see if they work with your style!

Now these are probably my favourite style of shorts to rock & the style I wear daily during the summer. SWEAT SHORTS are great for just lounging around the house, or just going over to your boys house to hangout & chill.

UTILITY has been such a big trend throughout the last couple years, that i’m surprised I just copped a pair of these myself. UTILITY SHORTS are a great casual / street style short to rock through the hotter days. The extra pockets help everyone, but they just pair great for the street style vibe we’re all going for.

And there you have it! All the different types of shorts to rock throughout the Summer. I know Summer is kind of up in the air right now with this quarantine, but to prep for the end of quarantine & ready to slowly get into the world again.
