What To Wear For The Holidays!

‘Tis the szn for holiday get-togethers & festive celebrations!

As you probably know, December is the BUSIEST time of the year! The month alone is filled with end of the year reviews, school semesters ending, the holiday break & of course, 2 widely popular Holidays back-to-back. With Christmas around the corner, & New Years following shortly after, the entire month is filled with countless holiday festivities & a number of celebrations. But with all these holiday gatherings comes the age old questions, “What the heck am I going to where?!?”

Of course with each celebration being different, but moderately similar, the goal is simply, dress to impress. Whether it’s the classic work holiday party, friends annual christmas sweater party, or Christmas at the grandparents, we all dress to impress & show our best holiday Fit. But how do we dress better than last year? How do we dress to impress?

That’s where I come in! I’m here to share some of my favourite holiday Fits than can work for any Holiday gathering. Whether it be casual, formal, or semi, there’s something for everybody, and something for every can dress in.

Here’s what you can wear, this Holiday!

A SUIT would be great to wear to a Holiday office party, or to a fancy Holiday celebration. Although Suits are the popular ‘dressing up’ attire, a great wear to wear a Suit casually this Holiday would be to wear a coloured or patterned suit, without a tie. Wearing just a plain white button shirt underneath, without a tie on top, helps make your look more casual & make room for more fun!

Patterned SHIRTS are a great way to mix up your style this Holiday szn. Anything Satin material is perfect for a New Years event! Anything cotten, or dress shirt material is great for a festive dinner, or a holiday night out with friends. A button up shirt in the colour Red is great for anything Christmas related. Colours like Navy Blue, Grey, Black or Gold or great colours to wear, to ring in the New Year.

Whether you just like to stay warm or cozy, or like to be both, SWEATERS will probably be your go-to pick, when choosing what to wear for any of your holiday outings. Those classic holiday patterned sweaters are going to be perfect for that Ugly Christmas Sweater party you & your friends have been planning, or even Christmas at your grandparents house. If you’re going for more of a mature look this Christmas, or are personally just not into the typical holiday patterned sweaters, a nice plan coloured knit sweater is still perfect for the holidays too.
Even the popular turtle neck is a great option !

If you’re like me & have only been wearing sweatpants for the past couple weeks, to help cope with the colder weather, you’re going to be really disappointed that for the holidays, you’re going to need to wear some real PANTS. But don’t fret, these Skinny Fit Suit Pants from H&M are super comfortable, you’ll forget you’re even wearing real pants!

Since the holidays are all about dressing up, DRESS SHOES are the perfect footwear to step out in!

If you’re feeling really fancy, any of the ADD-ONS are perfect to complete that Holiday look! A good Pocket Square is hard to find, but Urban Outfitters has a really dope selection!
