Last week on I put on my Instagram story that I was drinking a Turmeric Latte & a bunch of you asked so many questions! So, I thought I'd share my recipe on my blog, for those who want to make it at home too!

First off, Turmeric Latte's (Also known as Golden Milk) are GREAT because they have a ton of benefits for you & your health! I love them because they're a great detox, or recovery drink. Last weekend was Canada Day drinking & it was filled with day drinking, burgers, hot dogs, more drinking, swimming, tacos, laying in the sun all day. As I was trying to get back to reality & face work the next morning, I thought why don't I make myself a detox tea, to help me recipe & have some strength to face tomorrow.

Turmeric Latte's are great immune & digestive support, joints support, increase in antioxidants, helps with anti-inflammatory / puffiness, live detox & a ton more! It's great in aiding your gut health, after a workout to help with any soreness, or even being hungover after a long weekend of partying.

With all these amazing benefits to Turmeric, it's super super helpful in getting you back to the best you possible! Here's how I how make my Turmeric Latte!

Turmeric Latte Recipe

What You'll Need:

  • A Whisk
  • Measuring Spoons (Teaspoons)
  • A Pot
  • A Stove
  • A Mug
  • Almond Milk / Milk
  • Turmeric
  • Cinnamon
  • Ginger
  • Pepper
  • Honey

First, I start with pouring the almond milk into my that I will be drinking out of. The recipe asks for 1 cup of Almond Milk & in my mind, this cup that i'll be drinking out of is 1 cup. We're going to fill our drinking cup close to full, because with all the spices we will be adding, we don't want it to over flow. Then, we're going to pour our cup of Almond Milk into a small pot, on the stove. We're going to turn the temperature up to high & start making our Turmeric Latte.

You're going to add 1/2 teaspoon of Turmeric to start, then a 1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger. Next, depending on your love for cinnamon or lack of love for cinnamon, you're going to add a pinch, or an 1/8 teaspoon of cinnamon. You'll also need to add a pinch of Pepper (FUN FACT: The Pepper actually helps activate the Turmeric) to your latte. Once added, you're going to then add a whole teaspoon of honey. The honey will really help it taste sweater.

Next, you're going to whisk everything together, until simmer, or tea is steaming. Then, you can now add it to your drinking cup & BAM! YOU'RE DONE!

Hope this helps!
