Trench Coat

TRENCH COATS are currently #Trending & currently EVERYWHERE! I’ve seen a bunch of influencers rock this on IG recently & i’m sure if you didn’t notice them before, you will now. I’ve never seen Trench coats really talked about as much as they are rn, but I see the correlation as Wool Blend Coats are a highly popular item for winter! This is just a lightweight, extended cousin of that.

With Trench Coats, the most popular way I’ve seen this worn is wearing the same colour underneath the coat & having the coat be the “pop” of colour. So either wearing Grey, White or all Black underneath & letting the beige coloured jacket shine on top. I feel like this works really well & can also be super easy when either wanting to dress it down, or dress up.

A common look I’ve seen to this trend (And one i’ve tried myself) is wearing a grey hoodie & grey sweatpants, and then sprucing the Fit up with similar coloured shoes & a Baseball hat on top! This looks super laid back & casual, yet put together with the matching sweats.

To dress this look up, I would do casual, or slim fit pants (like the model is wearing in this picture), with a white t-shirt, or possibly sweater on top. I would stay away from anything with a collar, as the collar on the trench coat might interfere with the collar of your shirt. This would more than likely clash. Stick to a crew neck style top.

Denim Jacket

Idk about you, but DENIM JACKETS are my go-to in the Spring, simply for how easy they are to style & versatile as well! They not only come in tons of different shades & washes, but different fits too! Denim Jackets are staple to own! So if you don’t already have one you love, I can’t recommend it enough!! You’re bound to get tons of use out of it!

Personally, I like an oversized fit, when it comes to my Denim Jackets. So anything that doesn’t fit too snug & looks a little big, or allows me to wear a hoodie with it, is great! You should be able to pair & layer your Denim jacket with something, whether it be a Hoodie, a Crewneck, or a Flannel. You want to be comfy AF with this final layer of outerwear. For those warmer days, yes, totally wear it with a plain T-shirt or Graphic Tee. For those not so warm days, a Hoodie is my go-to layering item. This is also fun to do a DENIM ON DENIM LOOK. If you’re attempting to execute this look, to do it right the shades of denim should be similar. OR, it should be light blue denim on top of black denim. Light blue, or medium wash denim does not pair well with dark wash or navy blue denim (in my opinion).

Want to dress a Denim jacket up? Pairing it with a button up flannel is a start! OR, you could go for a classic denim overshirt.

Leather

And lastly, one of my FAVOURITE JACKETS to wear, anytime I get the chance - is a LEATHER JACKET!!! Leather Jackets are super badass, but also super fun to wear! They can be difficult sometimes, but once you find your true match, you’ll find any excuse to rock this one!

For the Spring, my favorite way to wear a Leather jacket is with a graphic tee underneath & probably some black denim jeans & my black high top converse! That style works for me & can be super easy & sometimes effortless. This jacket speaks for itself, so there’s no need to over do it with fancy sneakers, or really funky pants! Other ways you can wear a Leather jacket for a more going out look, is wearing it with a flannel, or a hoodie, with a T-shirt sticking out underneath - ever sooo slightly.
This adds layers to your Fit & divides everything you’re wearing, if you’re wearing too much dark colours. Aka, all black.

Think you can’t dress up a Leather Jacket? Just take a look at the model in the picture! I love how he wore it with a turtleneck, wide pants & boots! Very well done & also very doable for anyone to rock!
