I finally got to see the city of Angels!
If you follow me on Instagram, you know I went to Los Angeles last week! I’ve always wanted to visit this sunny city, ever since I was a kid & I FINALLY got the chance to this year!
A friend of mine was staying in LA for a few months, so Olivia & I decided to make a trip down there. I DID VLOG the entire trip as well, but I wanted to share some photos & share what happened during my trip, before you see the video visuals.
Here’s Everything That Went Down In Los Angeles!
So, LA was my first trip of the year & my first trip since 2012. I was excited to have the opportunity to visit LA, a city I’ve dreamt of visiting ever since I could remember. This trip was even more special, because I would be visiting my good friend Lara, as well as traveling alongside my other good friend Olivia. I know both of these friends from College & you may notice Olivia’s work from our shoots together.
Preparing for this trip, I know I wanted it to be more than just a vacation. I knew I could not only create great memories during my week here, but also create great business opportunities & partnerships. I’m fortunate enough that I got the opportunity to work with MNML LA, Urban Outfitters, as well as Pacsun during the week I’d be in LA. While me & Olivia of course did some exploring during our stay in LA, we also did a ton of shooting & content creating.
I’m really happy & fortunate I was able to get that opportunity while staying in LA.
The first day we got to LA, we stopped off at a restaurant called King Taco. They had the best, authentic Mexican tacos I’ve ever had! I ordered Carne Asada, which translates to Steak Tacos & also had Carnita Tacos, which are Pork tacos, with a really good, spicy sauce. They were delicioso! After Tacos, we went to check out our Airbnb & then went shopping. After Shopping, we saw our friend Lara & hung out with her for the rest of the evening.
Monday was more of a chill day. We did groceries, hung out around the area we were staying in & took a couple photos as well. Lara worked during the day, so we really only say & hung out with her in the evening. That evening, she took Olivia & I out to Hollywood blvd where we ended up going to In n Out for my first time! If you follow me on Instagram, you saw that I absolutely loved my burger! Though I didn’t get my fries Animal Style, I still found that it was a pretty cool experience & a must coming out to LA! After trying In n Out, we walked along Hollywood and saw the TCL Chinese Theatre, as well as all the movie stars that have signed their names. We also walked along the strip & saw a bunch of stars for so many people!
On the Tuesday, we decided to check out Urban Lights, which is near the LACMA Museum. It’s a really cool art piece that tons of ppl go to to take photos at. Really cool & definitely recommend checking out if you’re in LA. Later that day, we decided go to one of the places on my list I’ve always wanted to check out - The Griffith Observatory! I’ve seen this place in a couple of people’s Instagram pictures, and have heard this is one of the best sunsets in LA! I also love learning about astronomy & inside there was a whole museum dedicated to how the moon affects different parts of our planet. It was really cool to finally be here & take this off my list.
After visiting Urban Lights & Griffith Observatory on Tuesday, Wednesday we spent the entire day out, visiting both Venice Beach & Santa Monica Beach. Visiting both was really fun for me! I’ve always dreamt of visiting Santa Monica, so finally seeing this & the pier, was pretty surreal for me. It was a really fun day we all had!
On the Thursday, we decided to take a bit of a chiller day. I went by myself to go check out Melrose & do a little bit of shopping. I of course had to check out my favourite store, Urban Outfitters, but also checked out a bunch of thrift stores too! Later that day, I stopped off at a little restaurant called Melrose Bite, where I ate my first Impossible Burger! It was actually AMAZING & crazy that it wasn’t meat at all!
Such a great alternative.
The Thursday night, we went to check out where Lara works. Lara works at a venue called The Wiltern & that night they were having a viewing of an American classic
“La Bamba”. We went to support & check out the film. I had never seen the movie before & it was actually really good!!
The Friday, I met up with a photographer that I had wanted to work with while I was down in LA. Her name’s Alexandra Folster & we had such an amazing shoot! (Can’t wait to share photos!) We shot in the Art District of LA. Really cool place.
After shooting with Alexandra, I said goodbye to Olivia & her Boyfriend, & I stayed with Lara for the rest of my trip. Me & Lara went to Runyon Canyon for a hike. I really got to see what the city of LA looked like, from all different angles! It was amazing!
The view up there is one I’ll never forget!
And that was my trip to LA! Saturday was when I left, so that was just a day of traveling back home. But I had the most amazing time in LA! The weather was perfect all week long! I had some of the best tacos I’ll probably ever have!
