Here’s 10 Things I'm Looking Forward To This Fall Szn!

As we fully embrace summer being over & fall fully in session, I feel so excited to style myself & get layering this szn. For guys, the fall szn is where we thrive, as there’s many more options of Fits, & pieces we can rock & wear. For today’s post, I wanted to highlight 10 things I’m looking forward to wearing this Fall & share my thoughts on how you can make these pieces or trends work for yourself too!

The Colour Brown

IDK about you - but in recent years the colour brown has just BEEN that colour!!! And what’s even wilder to me is how many people LOOK GOOD in brown! From long coats, to different styles of pants, or hoodies, sweaters, kicks - you name it! It’s a colour that’s been super trendy & one you’ll definitely notice this szn!

This trend has had me in a chokehold this szn! 1.) because it’s all over social media. But 2.), because living in Canada, in the fall, it’s so much easier to dress like this & enjoy what you’re wearing. If you’re not familiar, gorpcore is:

It’s a style that’s been super popular on Tiktok, & has influenced a lot of style for colder climates. It’s a very outdoorsy look, meets streetwear. Is this something you’d rock?

Fall Jackets are probably the most talked about item, as this is what most of us will be gravitating to & pulling out of our closets to adjust to the weather. Jackets are one of my personal favourite fall items, as it helps with layering an outfit & can really MAKE a fit. Right now Varsity Jackets are still super popular, as that’s a big szn item, but i’m seeing a ton of the Sherpa lined Zip jackets too! But you also can not go wrong with a Denim or Leather Jacket for fall either.

If you had told High School me I’d be wearing Sweater Vests ten years later - I wouldn’t believe you. But there’s something about this new iteration of them that has really stuck out this szn & made wearing them really cool again. I loved wearing them with no shirt underneath in the summer, but even wearing them with a T-shirt now for fall, is a big vibe! This style can really be dressed up, or down. Super versatile and something anyone can make work for their style!

This fall - i’m a BIG FAN OF DENIM!!! There’s been such a resurgence of the denim, but in a ton of updated, modern ways & a numerous amount of shades too! From loose, to double knee, to selvedge & more. I personally love a good denim on denim, so i’m a big fan of the darker denim look.

The grandpa look is truly coming back, in style. Though the Cardigan isn’t for everyone, this is a LOOK, when it comes to fall style. It’s a great way to layer, & mix it up from the hoodies or sweatshirts. But also a cool way to dress a streetwear fit up, if need be. Don’t think of this is a completely formal look. It can be styled in a really casual way, just like you’d wear a hoodie!

Okay, I know this style is anything but “NEW”, but Cargos have become the new staple pant - and i’m here for it! For me, this is my everyone uniform. A baggy cargo pant goes with any & everything I own, so it’s super easy for me to dress with this look. If you already have your go-to pair, try adding a new colour to your collection to add more selection to your fit archive.

If there’s one thing we all love to be in the Fall - is comfy! THAT’S where this comes in! Instead of rocking the same, grey sweatsuit you’ve been rocking for 7+ years, add a new sweatsuit into your life, and mix it up with a different colour too! There’s fun ways to pull this off, instead of having the same old sweatsuit, or having colours that don’t match.

We talked about the colour brown earlier, and investing in some brown Sneakers would be the next best thing! From Converse, to Jordan 1’s to the ever popular New Balance sneakers, brown kicks are the ones to rock this szn!

Lastly, Vintage / Archived pieces has been a HUGE HIT as of lately. No, vintage isn’t new, and the popularity of thrifting isn’t a new crave either. But what I mean is more and more people are shopping vintage, as well as archived pieces from well known brands, rather than coping their pieces today. From Fall jackets, to flannels, denim & more - this fall szn is a vintage szn!
